Sales Manager

Job Responsibilities (not intended to be all inclusive):

  • Meet and exceed planned revenue targets for assigned accounts
  • Assist distributors and resellers with organization skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities
  • Research and analyze market conditions to determine customer needs, volume potential, competitive prices and discount rates, and to develop sales campaigns
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations, exclusive promotions, and pricing to close sales, ensuring that all promos and pricing follow company approval process and that they deliver a positive ROI
  • Create and implement customer sales/marketing programs which continue to increase sales out within specified territory for both short and long term
  • Develop and maintain cooperative and professional communications with all staff levels and customers
  • Manage Distributor Tradeshow participation to meet ROI targets
  • Maintain customer data including store locations and contacts in database
  • Provide Forecasts by account detailing normal flow and promotional volume, ensuring that forecast accuracy and inventory level targets are met
  • Provide account and regional insight on launches/promotions proposed by Marketing
  • Assist in planning and managing all education events for specified accounts to ensure education reach goals are met

Desired Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of sales management methods, practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of retail, distributor, and merchandising practices
  • Knowledge of industry competitors and trends
  • Strong skills in oral and written communications, and developing and delivering effective sales presentations
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency with Windows, MS Office and email
  • Ability to persuade, influence and impact others
